In Sunday’s win against Dallas, David Montgomery led the Lions backfield in fantasy scoring with two TD runs, despite a lackluster workload of just 12 carries in a lopsided victory. Jahmyr Gibbs outperformed Montgomery in playing time by matching his carry total and nearly doubling his snaps, playing 37 to Montgomery’s 21, mostly in passing situations. Gibbs drew 5 targets, caught three for 28 yards, and now ranks third on the team in targets for the season, hinting at a promising weekly floor and ceiling for him, while Montgomery’s success may be attributed to his TD luck and could be a potential sell candidate.

Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle struggled in the game, running for only 23 yards on 13 carries and losing a goal line TD to Ezekiel Elliott. Despite catching all three of his targets for 28 yards, the run game took a backseat with QB Cooper Rush throwing for 292 yards.
