After spending almost two months on the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad, Dalvin Cook will make his season debut Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. The 29-year-old running back was promoted to the main roster due to increased first-team reps in practice, as the Cowboys are struggling with rushing yards and touchdowns. Cook previously played for the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens, but was released by the Minnesota Vikings following shoulder surgery in the 2023 offseason.

Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle struggled in the game, running for only 23 yards on 13 carries and losing a goal line TD to Ezekiel Elliott. Despite catching all three of his targets for 28 yards, the run game took a backseat with QB Cooper Rush throwing for 292 yards.
