The ball from Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in Game 1 of the World Series sold for $1.56 million at auction, becoming the third most valuable baseball ever sold, following Shohei Ohtani’s 50th home run ball. The historic ball gave the Dodgers their eighth World Series title after defeating the Yankees in five games, with Freeman’s grand slam being the first walk-off in World Series history. Another artifact from the same series, Aaron Judge’s dropped fly ball, was also sold at auction earlier in the week for over $43,000.
