Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang’s season has ended following surgery to close a hole in his heart. The 19-year veteran, who has previously experienced strokes related to this condition, will miss the final game against Washington and is expected to recover in four to six weeks. Letang, a three-time Stanley Cup champion, recorded nine goals and 21 assists in 74 games this season, marking his lowest point total since 2009-10, while averaging 23:32 of ice time per game.
