Miami Heat president Pat Riley has stated that the team will not be trading Jimmy Butler, in response to reports that Butler wanted to be traded. Despite rumors that Butler prefers a trade, Riley emphasized that the team is not planning on letting go of the six-time All-Star forward. Butler, who has been with the Heat since 2019, has not officially requested a trade and is currently averaging 18.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists this season.

In a game between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks, Jusuf Nurkić and Naji Marshall were involved in a brawl that resulted in suspensions.
