Though the severity of his injury is worse than initially thought, Towns is expected to play through it and not miss much time, with his availability for the next game against the Minnesota Timberwolves uncertain. In Towns’ absence, Jalen Brunson led the Knicks to a win over the Philadelphia 76ers, with Tyrese Maxey standing out for the 76ers in the game that went into overtime.
