Shohei Ohtani has been activated from the paternity list and will join the Los Angeles Dodgers for their series finale against the Texas Rangers on Sunday, after his wife gave birth to their first child, a baby girl. The Dodgers designated Eddie Rosario for assignment to make room for Ohtani on the roster; Rosario had batted .339 with a .948 OPS in the minors but only 1-for-4 in two games with the Dodgers. Ohtani has a .288 batting average and .930 OPS in 20 games with the Dodgers this season, contributing to the team’s 15-7 record.
